Lawyers aren't usually fluffy and cuddly people, which has always made the well mannered Eben Moglen stand out a bit. No longer. He ripped Tim O'Reilly a new one at O'Reilly's own OSCON, whilst O'Reilly was also on the stage.

The FSF have always been somewhat upset by O'Reilly and his publications. They much rather have the Python reference manual be free rather than $90. And his Web 2.0 model very much exploits authors, with the financial benefits going only to the publishers.

Nick Cohen. 2004.

Nick is a journalist of Westminster politics. And he's seen through Blair. Rather than tell this to other journalists at the bar, he's put it into print for all of us. Despite Nick's left wing leanings, he comes to pretty much the same conclusions and my favorite old curmedgeon George MacDonald Fraser (who is also a journalist).
